Observations of The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC)

IC 1660

Ic1660 is a small open cluster about 1' in diameter . It has a strong central condensation. The cluster did not resolve at all and no stars were visible scattered across the face. The cluster appeared to be well detached from the background sky, having a definite round shape. The use of an OIII filter is not required, as there is no associated nebulosity. The cluster is located just off the SMC's north western border, about 12' south of NGC 458.
