Observations of The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC)
Lindsay 108
Is a 1.5' diameter, faint open cluster. The low surface brightness will make this a challenging object for a 14" scope. I was able to catch it though with a 12" scope with averted vision. The edge of the cluster is indistinct, which makes estimating the clusters size difficult. There are no resolved stars and no stars appeared scattered across the face of the cluster. The cluster is located about a degree and a half away from the main body of the cloud, which will make finding the cluster even more difficult. The
OIII filter did not show any signs of nebulosity.
