Observations of The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC)
Lindsay 84
Lindsay 84 is an open cluster with an irregular shape. The cluster appears partially resolved with two 13
th magnitude stars on the western edge. The cluster shows a good concentration of stars in the centre. The resolved stars are scattered across the face of the cluster. The edge of the cluster appears to be well defined against the background sky. The uhc filter had a dramatic effect on the cluster, reveling the nebulosity associated with the cluster. The cluster without the filter appeared to be about 4.5' across. The filter increased the size of the cluster to about 7' diameter. The nebulae almost appeared to be centered on the two 13
th magnitude stars. The nebulae also has an even surface brightness.
